Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival is held in August and lasts for nine days. The scarecrow trail will take you round the village with scores of imaginative creations to spot and identify. Tea and cakes in the village hall. Souvenir stalls. Ample car parking. Great fun for all the family.

Kilnsey Show is held on the first Tuesday after August Bank Holiday. Held under the mighty Kilnsey Crag, It is Northern England’s premier agricultural show.

Spring Bank Holiday sees Leyburn hosting its very succesful food and beer festival. More than eighty exhibitors of fine foods and local produce in the food hall. More than forty real ales to sample in the beer tent. Cooking demonstrations, silver band and side shows.
Each year Grassington’s Dickensian Festival, Held over three Saturdays in December, attracts visitors from all over the country. Everything you would expect from turning back the clock to the mid victorian era.

‘Flock to Skipton’ is an annual event when Skipton’s high Street is closed to traffic and anything and everything ‘sheep’ takes place. The event is usually held mid August. The town is littered with sheep sculptures painted by local artists and groups.

Grassington’s Art festival is held mid to late June. The programme starts with a carnival parade which heralds the start of a packed two weeks of entertainment including music, theatre, comedy, film and visual arts.
